By the way you don't have to file for bankruptcy the second you cant pay your bills, especially credit card bills. Just stop paying them, there is nothing they can do about it. It's called unsecured debt for a reason meaning if you stop paying them they can't take anything from you and it's just there loss.

You need to manage it, are your kids asking you questions?
Personally, I don't think you need to make an official announcement like in a family council or something.
You should take advantage of the opportunity to teach them something about diversity and equality and treat the situation as normal as possible.
If they ask if you guys are dating you can answer with a simple: yes, we are seeing each other.
I hope she's nice to your children though, it will help a lot if they get along.
You would be surprised how well children reacts to these things, much better than most of grown ups I know.

ps. sorry about my intrusion in your life but you should look for help on son wetting the bed. This is normal in traumas to have a regression to a safer phase of childhood but it needs to end. He doesn't have a weak bladder, he needs some good therapist.
