Amy Said:

I just got a job as a bank manager. Can I dress like the tellers or do I have to wear suits everyday?

We Answered:

Even if your company's dress code allows you to dress like the tellers, I would recommend that you dress up anyway. Wearing more professional attire, particularly in a position where you have dealings with the customers, will give you a more authoritative appearance. You will be immediately recognized as the manager, and it will help you command respect (it won't mandate it though...you will still have to prove you deserve that respect).

As to the matching part, plenty of suits that are sold together don't match. If you keep to the color scheme and don't try to put "stripes with polka dots" type combinations, you should be fine. Once you have established yourself in your position, you will be able to define a style that you are comfortable with. It will be a natural extension of yourself.

Does anyone else miss the old formidable bank manager?

We Answered:

I miss the time when the bank manger was a bank manager, not a sales manager.

What kind of job is a Bank Manager? How much does it pay?

We Answered:

I have a very close friend who was one of the top bank managers for a large banking organisation for quite a long time. He tells me it's not worth it.

It's very high stress. The pay seems to be okay, but he tells me that it's not equivalent to the amount of stress and messing around involved.

Can't be specific because I wasn't the manager, but it involved dealing with staff, security, ensuring that all figures added up correctly from what I can remember. Hope this helps.

Finishing AA In Business Management, Could I get a job as a Bank manager?

We Answered:

It probably varies from bank to bank but most banks would require a BS degree as well as some job experience.
