Sports is highly valued in the City as it indicates a personality type that they like. It is unfortunate that you missed your 2.1.

To be honest, one year of a Business degree isn't going to exactly blow them away even with a 2.1.

I suggest you join a Chartered Accounting firm and do the ACCA exams. You need 300 UCAS points for this. That will make you a much more attractive hire once you qualify as you will really be able to analyse investments.

It goes without saying that you should not tell them you plan to leg it the moment you qualify as they won't take you on :-)

In my company, we give a deadline to fill out the info and have it returned. That deadline is for all candidates in that particular wave. After the deadline passes then we go through the task of sifting through the information.

Chances are great you are in the midst of a sifting right now. If you sent the info to a hiring mgr, perhaps send an email on Monday to gently and politely inquire as to the status of your application. If you are pushy, you will be discarded so keep it casual but sound interested:

Hello______________
I submitted the requested info last week and I was wondering what the next step in the process is to be hired at ABC company. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Sincerely, ...

Well, Bank of America is in many countries, you could always email the bank online to verify, always check what ever type of bbb they are involved in, research the company online and be sure they have a physical address, then be sure they have a physical number that matches that address. Here's the deal, why do they need you when bank of america is everywhere. I would never sign a contract unless a lawyer read it. Be careful, there's a lot going on out in this crazy world.
