How can I become a part time Academic whilst already in a career? We Answered:
Since you use the word "whilst", which doesn't exist in the U.S., I'm assuming you are in the U.K.? I'm not sure how easy it would be there, but in the U.S., while you can be an adjunct faculty member, you wouldn't really be considered an "academic" if you maintain another career at the same time. The Ph.D. is usually a socialization process, and is considered to be something to which you fully commit yourself. And unfortunately, while you may be able to teach as an adjunct with a master's degree in finance, that probably would not be the case in a field like political science, in which their is a surfeit of Ph.D's.The problem you have is that you don't yet have a Ph.D. If you did, you might be able to link with others in your field to write articles, even if you were not working in the field. Without the Ph.D., most researchers aren't eager to take on a co-author who is working in another field entirely (they may be willing to take you on if you were working in the human rights field, because you would add a perspective to their work). My guess is that you will have to make up your mind if you want to stay in your current field or go into international politics and human rights as a professional. As a part-time hobby, there aren't many opportunities.

What kinds of things should I expect? I want to live in China permanently.?We Answered:
Yay! I'm really glad you want to return to China! I was born in China and moved to the US but my heart still belongs to China = )One thing I would caution you against is, really, the "way things work" in China. Trying to deal with government offices and work your way around the system is really different from how it is in Canada and the US. There is corruption, but I'm talking more about having connections and using those connections to get what you want.
I know that in the West having connections is not that important, because companies, governments have a very well developed system. But in China, its not always the case. Lets say that there's a new apartment being built. 20 units available but about 80 families competing for it (it happens a lot in China, I promise you that, haha) You and another person can both pay the money. But if the other person have connections within the company, they might get the apartment over you by giving the manager gifts etc.
With opening a business, its even more about how you can deal with the system. You have to get the government approval, permits, neighborhood office's approval. And each of those steps depend more on how you can manage the system than what is written in the rule book. China have rules, but only a person who's lived in China for a while would know what to do with those rules and how to get around some of them.
Also, with regards to Visas/Citizenship. Its extremely hard to obtain Chinese Citizenship because China already has so many people. It does not need more people to feed.
Finally, with taxes, they're not bad. But don't expect a letter from the Province or State government telling you exactly how they spent the tax money that year. Haha.
All this is not said to scare you. I'm sure with your experiences and after living in China for awhile you'll get used to it! Just be wary and don't be too naive as to expect everyone in China to follow the rules. Take care, and have a great time!

Travisa travel agency in London? We Answered:
This is a long running scam -- DO NOT respond or send any documents or money. There is no job waiting, there is no visa to pay for. Don't fall for it. This scam is run out of Nigeria, not the UK. You can tell by the use of the +447 0 phone number http://www.joewein.net/blog/2009/11/08/d…Thom Luijben has already been reported as a scammer on the Fraudwatchers site back in 2008

Are the following materials enough to prove a bona fide marriage in marriage-based immigration? We Answered:
I am a matchmaker and founded http://www.heartofasiaonline.com When marriage results, my couples often ask advice on how to accomplish immigration, and reunite in the USA1. The marriage license is mandatory, it proves legal marriage, not the bone fides.
2. Photos of ceremony, travel, time in US all are important.
See http://fianceevisaservices.com/youtubepe…
3. Affidavits are useful, but as they are from family, they are not as compelling as they would be from independent individuals such as civic, political or religious leaders.
4. Email and IM's are good. However photos of the in or out boxes are more managable then the actual words that were typed. I prefer to pick some sample messages, then show the entire itemized listing of the message archives.
5. Gifts sent are not that useful. Proof of the mailing the gifts is useful.
6. Scrapbooks are good for your memories, but are not suitable to attach to the petition. Just choose some photos. Bus tickets that do not have your and your husbands names are not useful.
7.Wire transfer receipts are good.
8. Proof that you are beneficiary to insurances is good.
Missing and recommended:
1. Telephone Records
2. Proof of reservations, or boarding passes, or flight itineraries from his trips to you, or you to see him.
3. Pages from your passports showing entry and exit stamps to China, to USA
Presentation:
You should carefully choose and attach your "paper trail" to the petition. The more compelling proof you can attach to the petition the better. This is called "front loading". Take copies of everything to the interview, but present as much as possible up front.
I have prepared a youtube on proving your genuine relationship see
