They do want that generally. A good way to get cash experience is to get a job as a data proof encoder. It's essentially ten key data entry, but it'll give you experience plus get you in the door.

It is a long time since I worked for Royal bank personnel, but at that time our rule was age 18 for a trainee teller position. That had to do with the bank being able to enforce a contract.

You will be asked the standard interview questions including
"What are your strengths and weaknesses?" and "Why should we employ you?"
Expect customer service specific interview questions that include questions like "What does excellent customer service mean to you?" and behavioral interview questions that explore your ability to deal with customers such as "How have you handled a difficult customer previously?"

We Answered:

2 weeks of training and tests to make sure you understand all the info are typical. My daughter works in a bank and thats what she had to do. Take lots of notes. You'll do just fine :)
