Phyllis Said:

why do you want to pursue banking as a career?

We Answered:

You can chose any career you want.

Personally, I wouldn't like to work in a financial industry because its quite stressful for me. That's just my way of looking at it. I could be wrong.

However, I prefer working in other kinds of environment like software and design.

Hope that helps.

Ella Said:

Investment banking as a career?

We Answered:

Jobs will be cut in investment banking just like nearly all the other sectors. However when the recession is over and you have your degree jobs should be on the increase again. People will want to invest their money when the recession is over and investment bankers are key to do this.

The main change in investment banking will be the tightening of laws to stop greed and extreme risk.

Dont be put off by the current recession if thats what you want ot do.

I'm thinking of priority banking as a career. What do i have to do? Do i have to be good in numbers?

We Answered:

No problem with the numbers if you start as a customer.
All you need is a lot of money and to believe that the Customer Relationship Manager will do his/her very best.

I can not suggest you priority banking as a career if you are
not fit in numbers.

Nina Said:

why you want to build up your career in banking sector?

We Answered:

Many years ago, when I was a young man, it was a respectable career. Times change, and what was once respectable has become - in many's eyes - rather seedy and exploitative. However, many millions of decent people around the world work in banks in one capacity or another.

The vast majority are not 'casino bankers' or any of the the other pejorative terms currently fashionable. And in time I hope it will be considered more favorably once more.

It is normally well paid and secure too.
