What's your post grad in? Its clearly not in English.
If you want to work in any finance-related industry, and give your 'key skills' as being in 'communication and writing', you will need to be able to speak and write faultless English.

However, if you are bright and have other skills, its not always necessary to be a great communicator to achieve in Banking.

A legitimate government will always pay it's bills. They can always borrow money or raise taxes, this benefit a corporation does not have. So you are always guaranteed of being paid. Generally healthy governments are expanding and offer unions.
