Career At Bank Of America
Sue Said:
Is it hard to get promoted in a bank?We Answered:
Before moving up in any field you shouldn't consider yourself a 'jerk.' Who would want to hire someone that considers that their best quality? Also, what would Best Buy know about Bank of America's room for growth and promotions? I can tell you first hand that it is much easier to step up in banking than working for Best Buy. My husband has worked there for 5 years and is now a Supervisor, but it took years to get there. I started out as a part time teller and worked my way to a full time teller, Teller Operations Specialist (Teller Manager), Assistant Manager and now Banking Center Manager. You need to figure out your goals with either company now and stick with them. Put forth 100% effort and do your best. Going back and forth between jobs and "where you will get moved up faster" will get you nowhere. Good luck.Dwight Said:
I want a career not a job =(?We Answered:
the economy is very bad and getting worse - unfortunately it doesn't matter how much money you spent on your education - the jobs are very limited and I don't see that changing in the future - just for comparison; in the great depression we had lots of new technologies to pull us out like the auto industry, aircraft manufacturing, the steel industry, housing and highway construction that produced millions of high paying jobs. I don't see any new technologies that will supply that many high paying jobs in the future - and most of our manufactuting and technology companies have gone over seas - your best bet is to get into one of the companies you interened with as my son did - short of that you should start applying to all different industries not just banks and accounting firms - hospitals, insurance companies, airlines etc also hire accounting majors - take an entry level job with the hopes of getting into a higher level down the road - good luckAlfredo Said:
Do scam artist use career websites to contact you?We Answered:
Yes, they contacted one of my friends that way. They usually want you to invest in something or give them money in some way before you can work for them.
