Careers At Bank

Earl Said:

What type of job can I get at a bank?

We Answered:

You can certainly get good jobs at a bank. They are not only well paid but flexible.

You can get jobs as a teller, which I would not recommend you apply for unless you can not find any jobs, since these jobs are for high school graduates. With you B.A. degree you can get jobs such as a loan officer, administrative, bank manager, branch manager ECT.

I know how it feels, I also regret going into business, whats good is that you can change your career by obtaining a masters degree in another field, or go to school for a second bachelor's degree.

I'm going to do so.

I suggest if you already obtained you B.A. in communication skills you go to the school which you graduated in and try getting a second B.A. with enfasis Finance, It should only take about one semester in order to obtain the credits necessary to complete your finance B.A.

Or if not obtain a certificate in another field.

But you can certainly get a job without the enfasis on finance, the B.A. is good enought.

Hope it helps.

How do I get a job at a bank?

We Answered:

Most places will redirect you to their website. You should first check out what positions are available online and apply that way. If you end up submitting an application through the website, it would not hurt your chances to reapply in person. Just ask to speak to the hiring manager and introduce yourself. Say that you applied for XYZ position through the website and you wanted to introduce yourself as well as provide a hard copy of your resume. A cover letter would look nice too. Dress professionally and speak as though you were the hiring manager yourself. Avoid slang and saying "umm... you know?"

Good luck!

Can I build a career at a bank?

We Answered:

My cousin works as a bank teller. She is a very nice soft spoken customer friendly person. She work there for only a year and now she is promoted to NEW ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE. I can't guarantee your outcome will be the same but just to give you hope IT CAN HAPPEN if the customers and the boss love you and you know what your doing in a fast and timely manner with a nice attitude.
