There are lots of different types of engineers who do different types of work...civil engineers who design roads and such, structural engineers who design everything from communications towers to buildings, electrical engineers who design electrical systems, and so forth and so on. Basically what would be interesting is whatever you are interested in. I would be bored silly as an engineer, and most engineers would probably hate to do what I do.
