Marc Said:

What are the laws governing employment in banks?

We Answered:

Every state is different.

The employer would probably do a background check on you, and they may ask you if you have ever been convicted of a misdemeanor. Most employers ask if you have been convicted of a felony.

There is no law about you working, it's up to the employer.

Anne Said:

What does the final home loan approval/underwriting consist of?

We Answered:

The underwriter checks everything in the file to make sure you qualify. They look at credit, income, job time, appraisal, bank records etc. Then if anything is missing or questioned they send back to processing to clairify or get additional documentation. If the processer did a great job the underwriter just gives it a C.T.C. (clear to close). Once we have the CTC we schedule the closing with the attorneys office & you are set. Keep in mind, sometimes we re-run credit or re-verify employment etc. especially if you have been in processing over 30 days. Good luck!

Dennis Said:

We Answered:

An MBA right after a Bachelor's degree, with no intervening experience, is likely to have the paradoxical effect of making you LESS employable.
