How do I make the career transition from banking to teaching? We Answered:
Substitute teaching would get your feet wet, but you will probaby need to go back to college. THere are so many more qualifications for teachers today then there were just 5 years ago thanks to things like NCLB (No Child Left Behind). You could probably easily get into a Master's of Education curriculum at your local college/university and be teaching in less than two years. Most likely you will need to take at least one of the Praxis tests (basically like an SAT but for teachers). I'm not really sure how that works with someone who already has a degree so maybe not. Odds are you can take night classes so if you wanted to sub you could do that in the day until you graduate. They may even be willing to let you come on full time or work as a teacher's assistant as long as you are actively enrolled in a Master's program for education. Good luck!Lillian Said:

I am a B.E Graduate in ECE and working as a software Engineer but I want to make shift my career into banking. We Answered:
It's better you write CAT or some entrance test for Management Course (MBA). Once you finish your MBA, you can get a placed at a very top companies in Banking department. You can opt for HSBC.You also need to be thorough in SAP, TALLY and the like, which are required for Banking.
Or the other way is, look out for job opportunities in any Banks and directly apply for it.

being an engineering graduate why you opted banking sector as your career? We Answered:
People go into engineering for a variety of reasons. Some want to build bridges. Some are more interested in the toll booths. Some get into engineering because the guy in line in front of you went into engineering.Half of all engineers, eventually get into something else. The advantage of engineering is you understand power series.

What careers are there for an economics graduate? We Answered:
HelloFor information on graduate employment with an economics degree, have a look at the following sites:
http://www.prospects.ac.uk/cms/ShowPage/… – select Economics from the A - Z list for ‘job options’ directly related to this degree or where this degree may be useful as well as ‘further study’ and ‘career areas’. In addition, there are links to contacts and resources such as relevant professional or advisory bodies.
http://www.res.org.uk/ - more information from the professional association, the Royal Economic Society (the link to Women in Economics may be of interest).
Finally, if you later decide to apply for economics courses, try contacting the careers service at any university of interest – a careers adviser there should be able to provide information on the employment destination for past graduates.
I hope this helps answer your question and wish you every success in your study and career plans.
