Im 34 and still keep working on my voice, im doing my MM in vocal performance and planning to keep going till the end of the world, not necessarily to become famous and rich but, because music is what moves me and keeps me going.

If you really love music the way you say, then you just need to get back to practice and knock doors and windows anywhere you can.

We all have our ups and downs, that is just a part of our life, not the whole picture of us.

So now, just do it! go for it and do not stop until you have fulfill your own expectations.

I was in the same situation as you and found an email address for the Economic Research Team of the council / local authority. It may be worth you making contact with your local council who are often glad to take on young people to help for a week in statistical analysis. In fact, very few of the people i worked with had qualifications in economics at all, so you may be able to teach them something. Why not give it a try? It worked for me and I have recently been offered a place at London School of Economics to study a degree in Economics.
