A survey of employers in the Finance sector revealed that 90% of them prefer a CFA over an MBA for an investment banking position.With banks (and jobs) becoming more global in nature, the need for an international qualification like the CFA is definitely increasing. Specially with the slowdown and mass enrolments into regular MBA courses, having a US CFA will definitely give you the career edge.
However, remember that it's a tough exam. Like the CA exams in India, most people don't pass it in the first attempt.
