I've never been fired from a job, but I certainly would not admit to being negligent in a previous banking related job. I would however, probably just say that I thought it was time for me to part with my former employer, or you left for more money. Legally, a former employer should only confirm the dates that you were employed and the salary that you made.

Keep in mind that you can be discharged from your employment if you have been less than forthcoming on your application.

usually its a 2:1 degree
and some experiance
lok on thier website for current vacancies and apply or give them a call..
good luck the recession may prove difficult to get a job...im a uni student completing next year and it may be very hard for me to get a job as well!

You need an internship or something similar to break in.

Either that or join investment clubs in college and try to establish contacts that way.

From what I can see, a degree in Maths would be a distinct disadvantage ...
.... since you would then KNOW that however you added one (sub prime) to one (other sub prime) it could never result in 5 (investment grade products)

You would also know that skimming off 20% commission from the repayments of a dubious sub-prime loan will just mean that in the end the Bank gets even less back ...
