Job In Banks

Irene Said:

could i take up freelancing job of banks and financial institution?

We Answered:

Financial institutions hire consultants who in a way are project based freelancers. To go out on your own, you would need to identify a need, present a plan that fixes the need and show how you execute the plan. You will either save or make money for the company you target. I have worked for banks and financial institutions and I do not know of any individual freelancers who have landed work.

Good Luck.

Out of work, no job for year? Nothing should I start my own business?

We Answered:

Boy, have I got an answer for you! I was in exactly the same boat - moved from Toronto to a small town and could NOT get hired anywhere. I found out about a government program called SEB - Self Employment Benefits - and they are amazing! You have to have been on EI in the last three years (which I assume you have been), and once that is verified you will attend about two weeks of classes all about how to start and run your own business.

The best part? $724 every two weeks for 8 months! That works out to over $13,000 for you to get started with. I'm not saying its easy - the couse is one of the most intense I've ever taken, and I've been to University. But the information is priceless and they also offer "microloans" up to $5,000 for you to get started with. In our class we had 2 computer experts, 2 daycare providers, a cattle feed yard operator, dog groomer, internet auction host, and backyard pond designer. If you have an idea for a business this is your best bet, period. I wish I had the website to give you but I"m sure you can find it if you look under government canada self employment benefits program. My business is doing great - I'm the dog groomer!

Go For It - it's hard work but worth it. Cheers!

How can one get job in Banks ?

We Answered:

Banks offer jobs starting from peons to officers. The qualification for different posts differ depending on the nature of work. For the post of a peon the minimum qualification is Matriculation in India. But I have seen graduates serving as peons in some banks.

For the post of officers n clerks ,the minimum qualification is graduation. But I have seen may post graduates r working both as clerk n officers. The banks prefer professional graduates, like MBA,CA etc. for their officers post.
For law officers degree in law is required.
So,different qualifications r required for different posts. But knowledge in computer is very important for any bank job.
Good luck

Derrick Said:

what exactly are job banks?

We Answered:

Some people are more productive for the company by NOT working.
Since they have contracts forbidding them being fired, they get moved into "no work jobs" instead.

Hazel Said:

Should you record all of your phone calls in case someone is insulting to you? Banks, Job applications.?

We Answered:

Being rude is not illegal. In some areas, recording a conversation with out both parties consent is.

If you pay your bill on time every month then the gas company, phone company, power company, IRS etc never have reason to call you.

If you have not paid your bill and that's why they are calling - a little rudeness comes with the territory. You can complain all you want about "he was rude to me" the response will still be "you owe us $x.xx".

And if you have nothing better to do than sit around recording and storing phone calls so you can complain....you really really need to get a hobby.
