Legal Jobs In Banks

Bradley Said:

Is this a legal job offer or another scam?

We Answered:

I created a blog on my 360 web page on different home based business opportunities for both on line as well as off line work. A lot of information on scams and what to look for, the truth about people calling various different things a scam, businesses registered with the BBB, as well as many other things you can learn about. The blog is geared up for home based business opportunities, but the information can be used to distinguish if a home job is legitament or not.

loans from banks for college?

We Answered:

You will probably need to take out some personal loans. This can be done at any bank. I just applied for loans and will start school in the fall (at a community college) I've applied for loans but am only able to get around $9,500 for the entire year. On top of that I did my FAFSA and am getting a few thousand from that (I will have money left over and above b/c tuition is so cheap. I would talk to your financial aid office and see what they tell you. My cousin went to a very pricey school with lots of personal loans as well as scholarships and any other student loan/grant money she could get her hands on. We are a very low-income family so if she can do- there is a way! Best of luck to you and I hope some of this info helps:)

Bobby Said:

"Reciever clerk" job - Is it legal?

We Answered:

Not just dodgy - those "jobs" are scams. Sooner or later, one of their payment checks will bounce, and you'll be out the money you have already sent off. It's one of the most common scams around right now. Be aware that a check or money order can be found to be fraudulent weeks after your bank has accepted it, and YOU are the one on the hook for making it good.

Raul Said:

what other skills set do i have to acquire in order to become a good para legal (apart from a certificate)?

We Answered:

Go for a paralegal degree rather than a certificate. This website offers American Bar Assocation accredited institutions that have paralegal programs. http://www.abanet.org/legalservices/para…

You might want to start gaining law office experience. Be it as a clerk, legal secretary, or whatever. That will help land you a paralegal job post-graduation.

You will take computer classes for your degree. Make sure to pay attention to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Hopefully you will also learn how to research on the interenet via WestLaw and Lexis Nexis (these are the most common legal search engines in law offices).

Other than that, I think you probably have all the other skills required to be a paralegal. You are probably very organized, able to multi task, and efficient (which I think are the most important traits of a paralegal).

Best of luck to you!! If you have any more questions feel free to e-mail me!
