Part Time Banking Jobs

Jean Said:

Having two part-time jobs and going to school full-time too much?

We Answered:

When I was in school with a similar commute I got a part time job working as a messenger. On my way to school I pickup and drop off packages and on my way home did the same. It paid for the gas and I put a few buck in my pocket too. Tax deducted the whole thing. "Killing two birds with one stone." Who came up with that statement?

Make sure you get at least 6 to 7 hours of sleep a night. You can do anything you put your mind to. Don't stop or be stopped because you think it is too much. Keep your focus on why you are in school in the first place. Gas is Gas the insurance is just insurance ( look for a cheeper plan) Maybe pack lunch instead of buying it on the road. Keep a case of water in the car it is cheeper then the vending machines and convience store you stop in. Coffee buy a thermos at walmart and bring it with you. I trust you are not smoking that could cost 90 per month easly. This semister will be over before you know it. One more thought can you crash over night near school once a week at a friends place. That would save a tank of gas each month.

Part time banking job at 16?

We Answered:

I don't think a bank would hire you since you have to be old enough to be bonded and 16 isn't legal age yet. But you might be able to get some go-for job at an investment firm. Don't know what you have around where you live but look around and ask. If you have friends or relatives in the finance biz, you should ask them too if they would hire you just to do grunt work since you won't be allowed to do any high finance stuff since you'd need to have degrees and licenses and all that; even though you'd only be doing grunt work, that would allow you to make connection, maybe even get some mentoring. You might even ask to be an intern (in lieu of being paid) which might enhance your chances since many places are cutting back on salaried employees. If you have a stock exchange closeby, you might be able to get some summer intern work there (even if it's just sweeping up paper at the end of day) and get to see how things actually run.

Terry Said:

Can a person having 5 yrs of exp in india.get a part time job in banking or in finance in melbourne australia,?

We Answered:

Because the banks are laying staff off, and it is unlikely you will get a work visa, forget about it.
And don't even think of coming on a tourist visa and then trying to work, you will be deported immediately, if you even get past immigration..

Part time... not much is going to pay you that well part time. You can try being a part time personal banker. It should pay about 16-18 dollars an hour. With commission you could make more.

Lena Said:

how to apply for a part-time jobs in the bank?

We Answered:

You can start by registering with a Temporary Agency. Obtain or improve your accounting and data entry skills. Many Banks use temporary employees for periods of increased workload. Do a good job and a two or three week assignment can turn into a permanent assignment.
