Standard Bank Jobs

Lonnie Said:

What do you think of this double standard?

We Answered:

The bank workers are wearing starched and creased jeans, starched and pressed shirts, jackets, boots n hats that cost hundreds of dollars. The are very aware of their outward appearance and want to portray a very professional yet relaxed demeanor.

Techies tend to not have concern of their outward appearance in that manner as they are not normally dealing with the public, but with a computer. (Maybe...I know more cowboys than techies)

I think this is an apple/orange comparison because of the difference in regional culture. Maybe companies do need to be stronger in setting dress codes, but those policies will also reflect the difference in region. Thank goodness for cultural diversity!

Where do I check the authentication of an Offer Letter I got from Baclays Bank, UK, as it seems to be fishy?

We Answered:

There's not really anything to check - if you didn't apply for the job, and you weren't ever interviewed, then there isn't anything to check as it's not a legitimate job offer. And for BACLAYS bank - it doesn't exist, you're being scammed.
