Do you realize that she is saying "An industrialist who produces a fortune" should NOT be regarded equally with "a gangster who robs a bank"? She is making the point that they are regarded the same because we have failed to distinguish between psychological egoism (in this case, the gangster) and rational egoism (in this case, the industrialist).

Now, it's always possible that the industrialist could be just as evil as the bank robber, but Rand is going by the assumption that each is what he appears to be.

In the case of the grocery clerk vs. the "young man" she is making the point that the altruism of the grocery clerk is considered morally superior to the struggle of the man who doesn't give in to altruism.

RKOL well damn if you ain't getting it easy around here, you call yourself the World Heavyweight Champion but you have yet to do the things i have. During my reign i faced the companies best week in and week out. And yet your getting a free ride refereeing matches and facing jobbers every week. If your the true champion you say you are then you would have faced a worthy opponent by now and also defended that title at least once. QB's and Titles vs Stats?

A mediocre QB (Rypien, Aikman, Dilfer) can shine when the team around them is THAT good. Aikman is definitely NOT better than Marino. Dilfer was just good enuff to NOT turn the ball over and let the defense win the game. Rypien had like one good season and that was the year they won the SB.

Great QB's like Manning (Peyton, NOT Eli) Brady, Montana, and Marino have success REGARDLESS of who is around them.

Pittsburgh fans are gonna hate this BUT, Bradshaw was an "ok" qb, not a great one. The running game of the Steelers and the defense won them 4 titles in 6 years.

So, as far as stats v. titles go, IMO it's a matter of opinion. Marino never won a SB, but I put him up there with any of the great QB's.
Best RB was IMO Barry Sanders, never won a title but was awesome to watch.
