No matter what your career is, there is always an option to go back to school for a masters or PhD. However, after a 2+ years teaching ESL abroad you may want a break from the education world.
I was a teacher for 7 years in Japan, Thailand and South Korea and now I am settling back in Canada and trying to get out of teaching. Here are some ideas that I am doing:
1. Recruiting English teachers: Korea pays big money for each teacher you recruit.
2. Private teaching in your home city, if you have a large city that is.
3. Try starting a website with your expertise in ESL. Start submitting articles to some websites to get started.
4. Translational services if you know the language.
5. Tour services for contacts that you made in your previous host country.
6. Home stay for students

The list goes on, hope it helps.

well first of all someone must have saw something in you to make you the leader -- take it from me that there is not two leaders that have the same style and work the same way -- what i found to work may not work for you == best i can tell you is move slow at first and insure you know as much about what each of you employees knowledge and job task is and to insure that they are being use to the best of there abilities!!!

Actually you could combine a lot of your interests by being a bikini model. Major manufacturer have several groups of women who travel to exotic destinations doing promotions. You could also be on one of the shows like "Bikini Destinations" that has the women doing a lot of amazing things all over the globe.

I understand how you feel. Last year my boyfriend was mobilized to Kuwait and I was sent to San Diego for annual training. I didn't want to go but went anyway. Two days after I got there, two of my friends/coworkers were murdered at my work as well as 2 police officers and a state employee. Three months later, a family friend and his wife were fatally shot in his home. My mom was diagnosed with cancer during this month. Christmas came along with a 5 day bout of the worst stomach flu I have ever had in my life. Then in January, the business that I worked at with my friends who died went under. I loved that job.

During this time, my boyfriend and I had broken up but were still talking to each other and his mother would watch my little girl occasionally. On St. Patrick's Day, he called to tell me that she collapsed of a major heart attack and died. He came home from Kuwait and we managed to repair our relationship. I got pregnant about two weeks later. Things went well for a while and I moved in with him. My dad called at the end of July to tell me that his best friend who had been battling cancer for the last two years took his bottle of pain killers and disappeared. They found his body by a lake 8 days later. He overdosed on painkillers because he was tired of fighting off his illness. He had been a friend of my dad's for 35 years.

My fiance and I were supposed to get married in August but I called the wedding off two weeks before the wedding because I found out that he was cheating on me OVER and OVER again with random strangers that he was meeting on the internet. I moved out of the apartment and relocated to another state. Then my 3 year old daughter said some things to me that led me to believe that he had been molesting her. I filed a police report and took her to three expert therapists, all of whom confirmed my suspicions. This jerk is trying to establish paternity of the unborn child that I am carrying in my womb and take full custody and the courts are doing nothing to stop him because official charges have not been brought against him.

Now I am 8 months pregnant with a child that I am not incredibly enthusiastic about bringing into this world because of the legal problems that are sure to follow, I am broke and alone in a state where I know NO ONE, and I am heavily medicated on anti-depressants because I feel like killing myself every other hour or so.

Life could always be much worse. If I can live through this, so can you.

I am not sure from which country you belong and what kind of teaching degree you have and at what level you are teaching.

Let me take example of India assuming that you have B. Ed. degree and are teaching at secondary level.

Job in bank are good however if you are starting at teller level atleast in India, it will take a long time rise up in ladder and then there will be limited scope of growth as people with good commerce/ economics or MBA degree will come at higher level and they will grow.

Now what is the way in case you want to come in Banking. At least in India best bet is to go for Probationary Officers exam - This will give a good place to start with, then you can learn more and rise.

In case you are in other country still I would suggest that get some good course/ diploma and then try to fit little bit higher then teller.

In India CAIIB is a good certification to acquire.
