Which career is better to pursue? Nursing or Social Services? We Answered:
Both careers are good for helping people. With nursing I think you have more options (i.e., different fields to work in); while social services are limited. With nursing you have the opportunity to be payed better than with social services. Also social services workers tend to have shorter careers due their high volume of stress and their large number of case loads.Willie Said:
Career Advice: What do I want to do with myself? What kind of resources are there to choose a career? We Answered:
There is an awesome service we use at the community college where I work. It is free to our students, but I am sure you either have to go through a group or pay for the test but it is well worth it. It tests you on 3 levels. 1- what is most important to you in a career. 2- what you are good at 3- what you enjoy. Then it cross refrences them to help you choose what fields are best for you. It is called the kuder assesment. You can read about it at Kuder.com
