3) This forum is GRADE School, not High School.
4) Even if your normal teacher were in, you'd STILL be marked absent, because you *are* absent!
5) You're 16 or older, and presumably have a part time job to make some money with. Drive yourself (bike or car), or call for a cab! (Welcome to the Real World!)
6) If all else fails, call mommy or daddy to drive you...assuming they are willing to leave work to drive you.
7) Next time, be proactive and use your brain...ask the Principal to schedule this kind of meeting at the END of the school day (or during Lunch Break) when you are actually back at the School!

You could become an English teacher in China, Japan etc. You wouldn't be eligible for Europe, Australia etc with those qualifications.

i say take the career center classes. that way you will be doing what you want. not what you feel like you have to. and after you graduate if you feel you need the other classes you can take them at a community college.
