Please help me!! I'm so conflicted? We Answered:
Sounds like you really are in turmoil over this. But trust me, you are not alone. At any one time there are at least a million people feeling the same way and everyone does it at some point in their career. But you are on the right track in trying to find your passions. Is there one interest in your life that has always been there? Most interests come and go but some always seem to resurface over the years. But even then, a true passion can always be a favorite hobby (like dancing or music). I forget who said it first, but the luckiest person is one who gets paid for doing what they love and would do anyways. The trick is finding a lucrative niche to flourish in.You say that your interest in engineering is waning a bit and you doubt your abilities (nobody loves Physics). But this is quite normal even for most engineers. One of the best parts of being an engineer is that there is incredible diversity in not only the assignments but also in the alternate paths available. Once you get hired on, you can always branch out into sales, business, and management (people oriented), or R&D, analysis and so many other facets of that industry or profession. Many engineers have complained to me that they barely use anything they learned in school, but that shows you how many others things there are to do. It might do you the most good to talk to as many Environmental Engineers as you can before you make up your mind. If it is available, try being a co-op student or summer intern at a respected company. You need to get your feet a little wet.

In the world of 'Green' - how to start a career? We Answered:
You could focus on a green job. A green job is one that benefits the environment. You will find a green job in a company engaged in renewable energy, or recycling. With people becoming increasingly environmentally conscious, there are going to be more and more green jobs being created. Involve yourself in some green projects and create awareness on water and other resources of the earth. Visit http://www.bewaterwise.com/ and help in conservation of water.
