Christopher Said:
How to ensure one year old's physical health? We Answered:
Well first she could be pre-disposed but dont let that discourage you or her. Make sure that the whole family eats healthy (fast food as a treat no more than 1-3 times a month or less), vegetables with every meal, if you give her snacks 1-2 times a day make sure that at least half are a healthy snack such as cut up fruit, pretzels, etc, eat very little fried foots, cut back on red meat but dont eliminate it completely. Ok now the diet portion is over. Take walks to the park (if you have one nearby, this will be healthy for both of you) then let her run and play for a minimum of 30minutes to an hour before going home. On days when you dont want to go to the park offer ample opportunities for her to play outside and once shes big enough get her a big wheels bike she can ride on. As long as you give her ample opportunity and encourage outside play (also limit tv and videogame time) then she will grow up active and healthy, teaching her how to eat right is also extremely important and the younger you start that the better she will eat throughout her life. Good luck.****FOR DEADBOLT - the first 5 years are the mostimportant in teaching them healthy eating habits, it is also when thigs like pre-disposition of weightgain, diabetes, and skin canser (which has nothing to do with this particular question) are decided within the childs body. IT is proven that children that are more active and eat healthier for the first 5 years and beyond have less weight problems and weight/food related health problems! It is important she start now on a healthy diet and exercise routine.***
