John Casablancas Modeling And Career Center
Jaime Said:
who knows john casablancas modeling and career center? We Answered:
john Casablanca's basically offers classes for modeling and acting. they don't really find you jobs. and yes they ask you for money and I'm my opinion they are a rip off. if you are looking into modeling i would recommend ford model management and ford models. they are the best way to go.Amanda Said:
Is John Casablancas Modeling and Career Center Legitimate? We Answered:
John Casabalncas, is like Barbizon and John Robert Powers. They only want your money. They are NOT a modleing Agency. They "allegedly" train you modelinging techniques, for a fee! (real modeling agencies don't charge)
Many, many years ago, John Casablancas had the
Number 1 Modeling Agency in New York City. I assume he is now deceased and his family probably "sold his name and the business."
Legitimate Modeling Agencies NEVER charge for modeling lessons, because they get the money back once the model makes money from the modeling assingments she books for the agency.

Is JOHN CASABLANCAS MODELING AND CAREER CENTER a scam?We Answered:
The classes and training provided are legit and very real. Just that they charges a bit more money for them. You should do a search on acting studios or modeling agencies around your area. For modeling, visit and read everything on the agency's website. It usually indicate the type of models, requirements, and open casting call information. if you got the look, and meet the physical requirement, then attend the open call, or submit directly from the modeling agency website. If they are interested in you, you will be invited to interview with them. If they feel you need training, they will train you.
Good Luck.

John Casablancas Modeling and Career Centers? We Answered:
JC, JRP, Barbizon et al are not scams per say, they are schools. They offer a service [classes, photos, make up, prints] at vastly inflated prices that some people are willing to pay because they want to be or want their children to be in show business. They are not talent agencies, which receive money only when you make money from work they found for you.
For what it is worth, nobody in either modeling or acting are going to be impressed by experience from JC, JRP, or Barbizon. You are probably better off taking classes at your local city college and working with local theaters, department stores, and designers. This will also be much less expensive than attending John Casablancas.

Is John Casablancas Modeling and Career Center a scam?We Answered:
Well, you know the old adage, "If it's too good to be true, it isn't true or good" I have always thought that if you had to pay anybody for your god given talent then it may not be a good thing. Any reputable local studio that places models for advertisements would be able to tell you of your potential. That way if you are not model material, you would know from the start! If you are, then the local studio would probably have you start photographing and working, which would build a portfolio for you. From there, you really don't need Casablanca's. You need to just send in copies to some of the leading fashion houses in New York. They have a critical eye and review potential models portfolio's on a full time basis.
