That's NOT CORRECT.....
Taylor Swift was not approached with a record deal from Sony music at 14....

Taylor moved to Hendersonville, TN and her mom and Dad pitched her to several record companies in town and NONE of them wanted her (for obvious reasons).

In her GAC "Back Story" on TV.... it tells a little bit of her history (which theirs not much of)....
anyway in the program .... it clearly and carefully states, that she was trying to get a deal with RCA and they backed out of the deal... (because she wasn't talented enough I assume). She was very depressed because of this.

We can only assume that her father, then... struck up a deal with Big Machine records (which started at that time??) and paid for her first album... because NO ONE would invest in her.
Her father is an investment broker or something...

It says NOTHING about SONY music approaching her at 14yrs old.


Taylor Swift is a lucky girl who slipped through the cracks and the timing was perfect for her to have the success she's had...

It really is a mystery why, how she had the level of success she's had. I do believe in the (if people hear something enough times they will accept anything). This was used by Hitler in concentration camps, etc... for brainwashing. This applies to the record companies as well I guess.

I don't agree with what Kanye West did to Taylor at the MTV awards, but I think he was right...
