Private student loan?We Answered:
There is absolutely no advantage of taking a private loan over a federal loan.Private loan will require a cosigner with great credit and a high salary. Federal loans require no cosigner.
A private loan will have double the interest rate than a federal loan.
A private loan will have a variable rate interest (meaning the payment will go UP over the course of the loan) while the federal loan has a fixed interest rate... and some even go down as you pay them.
A private loan will be sent to your school, just as a federal loan will. (Private loans are NOT sent directly to you). Only after all your charges are paid at your school will the school send you the excess (if you have any). This money is not dispursed to you until 30 days AFTER the semester has started.
A private loan can not be discharged if you were to die or become totally disabled as federal loans are. Your cosigner will STILL be required to pay it off.. even if you die!!! OMG, why would you want to do that to someone?
Since a private loan is sent to your school, any amount you get CAN effect your federal financial aid. You are only allowed to get "financial aid" (grants, loans, work study, parent loans, scholarships) UP TO the Cost of Attendance at your school. Since federal loans are BY FAR the better deal, you should take THEM out first, before you resort to the sub-prime private loans of the student loan industry.

Is Athletic Training a reasonable career choice for me?We Answered:
Hi there,Well, as a student athlete myself, i don't see a reason why you cant become one. You'll specialize in sport injuries not coaching. The only thing you need to understand is how they got injured. If you want to be a physical therapist, you wouldn't really need to know either. You'd be helping people rehab from there injuries and surgeries. Overall, if you really want to be a good person become a sports med doctor or an orthopedic surgeon. Well hope this advice works!
