Edward Said:
Question for people who work with children - about tattoos? We Answered:
I worked in the field with children for several years. It is a joy. However, many parents would be a little alarmed at seeing a "tattooed person" taking care of their children. Fair or not, that's how it is. I have tattoos but they are all covered by my shirt or pants. I would have a full sleeve if it wasn't for management looking down upon having them visible. I could still get a sleeve, but I don't want to wear long sleeve shirts in the summer. Many in management would look down upon the tattoos. You are an extension of their business. People with tattoos are often unfairly categorized - as Alyssa has done above. Many, many respectable people have tattoos. But for your career desires, I would recommend getting it under your shirt or something. It is true that you can cover it with make up, but why spend all that money if you are going to be covering it all the time?
One thing to remember about the difference between people with tattoos and people without tattoos - people with tattoos don't care if you don't have any.
They are great; they are addictive.
