Tell him to get out the phone book and a notebook and write down businesses he would like to work for. It takes a while to go through all the listings but is well worth the hunt. Then pick one at a time that he likes and call to find out all the positions with in the company. write them down. If one seems good then come up with a list of interview questions and contact the person in that type of position asking for a few minutes of thier time to interview as he is looking for a career change. It will be some work but he will land a good job this way.

It's a paradox that's well known in business.

Most employers want you to have experience in the field, but you can't get it until you work in the field. There are long solutions (ie internship) but that's not the only way in.


The truth is that... experience, education, and resume matter only a little bit for most jobs. What's really important is your personality, and if your employer likes the first impression they get. People often dislike this concept because they wonder why they can't do it. There are major studies done about how essential your personality is. Attractiveness ties in too -- I'm sure many of you have heard about that.




PS: Ignore any thumbs down I get. They're probably people who invested many years and a billion dollars into college.

I had no experience in the music industry -- I am a director for a music magazine.
I had no experience in furniture -- I am a manager of a furniture store.
Last year I was a wardrobe consultant for most of Colorado's male news anchors -- Guess what? No experience in suits/tailoring til I got the job.

Just go to one of those truck driving schools,they'll hook you up.They will even make sure you have a company to work for when you graduate.They'll help you with all that.

I did it,but my load shifted and I rolled my truck 7 months into my job and I lost my job.

I've been driving trash trucks ever since.It's cool since I never did figure out how to back those big trucks (tractor trailers).A big part of the job is backing and I sucked.

But anyway if you do it,practice,practice,practice your pretrip.And MAKE SURE that load is SECURE!!

No, once he's retired that's it. You can make another fighter that looks just like him but your skills and attributes start all over.
