Skaters average 244 games. (about 3 full seasons IF)
Forwards average 241 games.
Dmen average 251 games.
Goalies average 148 games (less than 2 full seasons if they were to play every game).

Measured in years- it is 5.49 seasons for a skater and 5.36 years for a goalie.

there are many avenues for places that you can work. in my opinion it is too hard to start a new massage career if you do not have a back-up income. if you do not have a current client base and you are a single mother then i would have to advise against going to school for massage. there is a ton of money to be made but it is a gamble. personally i wouldn't make the gamble if you have to support children.

I am currently pursuing a law enforcement career myself. Since I have started school my friends have asked me a lot about not wanting to make more money.

If money is important to you, and thats what you need to be hapy than go ahead with the engineering, you might not enjoy it all the time, but at least you'll have your money to keep you happy.

But if it's not your priority than I think you should go ahead and pursue law enforcement. You don't need money to be happy, and you will be spending a vast majority of your hours awake in your life working, so you better make sure it's something you enjoy.

We Answered:

I am not sure of the wages for a doula. I know that it varies, depending on location. Some hospitals (in bigger cities) have doulas on staff, however many doulas are independent and charge what they want. Average of $250-$500. Some insurances are now covering doulas too. They work their own hours...etc...One thing to consider is: You have to stay with the laboring Mom throughtout her entire labor, so if it's 3 hours...that's great for everyone...if it's 23 hours you still need to stay with her. Do you have someone that can be with your children? I have dreamt about being a midwife or doula. I too have children and got scared that I couldn't pull it off. Also we are in a small town away from big hospitals where doulas are "trendy". Follow your heart and your dreams good luck. I hope I helped. p.s. Have you gone to the DONA website? Check it out.

40 hours of training is the minimum time required to become a helicopter pilot. I believe that most people who hire pilots look for someone who has had experience in the military service flying helicopters. Since you are 30 you still have a few years left to join the Army or air force and get your training free.
