The more places you apply to, the more chances you have of getting in somewhere, the more you'll learn about yourself during the application process, and the more experienced you'll be when it comes to applying to Cambridge.

Maybe try at least getting applications to five or six universities or colleges to see what they're like, filling the unique parts of them out, then sending in the ones that you're really interested in.

You know its the people who weren't as fortunate as others who seem to appreciate more out of life and are willing to settle for what makes them happy which isn't always fancy cars, rich friends, and fine dining. I'm guessing you are young but you are not a failure. Everyone learns things in different ways. I've learned to be who I am today by screwing up and taking my mistakes and growing from them. I'm not saying that's what you have to do but that worked for me. You think you sound negative, and I think you are able to view happiness with something other then the fine things in life. You have to open your eyes and look around. You decide what makes YOU happy. As for your education.....I'm not going to preach to you, but do you want to struggle or do you want to be able to stand on your own two feet. That's a choice you should really make sooner then later. Keep your head up high! and good luck at everything you do in life!
