Career Change At 32
Laura Said:
I need a career change! What field should I go into?We Answered:
Hi Rebecca,First of all, let me say good for you for pursuing a change and following your heart, wherever that may lead you. Have you thought of looking into running your own business? Something in a field that not only would be viable, but following your passion(s).
Mediation may be a solution, with your experience and strengths, there are courses(not lengthy) offered through almost all colleges. I went through a similar experience as you seem to be currently facing, and I now write for a living. It is my dream job, I work at home, and love it. Sorry I do not have that many suggestions for you, however, I do wish you the best of luck in your quest.
Take Care

Career Change Help?We Answered:
Check with your local Workforce Development office. They may have some ways to test you to see what you would be suited for-With your experience a hotel that has a conference center might be a good choice.
It is very hard to give advice though when people don't say what their education level and focus are.

Im 32 i fancy a career change am i too old?We Answered:
The salon is not only wrong about you being too old, they're violating age discrimination laws by telling you so.I know at least two people who switched to a career in cosmetology in their 30's.
The laws governing certification vary from state to state. The first step is to contact a hairstyling college (which might also be known as a barber college or college of cosmetology).

Is 32 too late to begin a career? We Answered:
My mum trained to be a radiographer at the age of 38. I did my degree at 27 and my older brother has just started his dotor training atthe age of 34 - it's never too late to make yourself happy and try to turn your career life around. Don't put it off or in 5 or 10 or 15 years time you'll find yourself saying 'I wish i'd done 'x' course all those years ago ... but it's too late to change NOW'So, no, it's never too late.

Wanting to change careers at 32, possible? We Answered:
I went back to college when I was 47, graduated when I was 53 (worked full time). Changed careers and within two years was the Director of Human Resources, which was my goal.Suggestion, take Accounting 101. This is a basic bookkeeping course to teach you how all of accounting works. Then look for a job as a bookkeeper, accounts payable clerk, accounting clerk, payroll clerk etc. You should even check out accounting firms who may be looking for bookkeepers to do the grunt work. If you are really lucky, you will land a job with a firm that has a tuition reimbursement program to pay for the rest of that degree. You will also learn if you really want to be an accountant.
By holding the clerical job, you will be getting that all important experience even if you do change companies once you get the degree.
