Career Change Into It

I'm looking for a career change into real estate agent? We Answered:
It depends on the market in the area you live. It's hard as hell to get started, as most of you business will come from word of mouth. You'll work your butt off and it will take months before you sell your first house (usually). But once you get a few under your belt, and build up your clientele, then it's a good career to be in, as long as the market doesn't dump. Make sure you have another source of income while you're getting your license and getting started, as there's no money in the beginning!Good luck

a career change into hairdressing? We Answered:
I looked at doing this as well, aged 33.I couldnt find a way of doing it that suited me but here is what I found.
Contacted the local colleges - they would require me to do a full time fast track 12 week course to get a level 2 nvq. And then another 12 week full time course to get the level 3 at about £1000 each. Try speaking to the tutors at colleges and see if they have any ideas.
I found trying to get a trainee job through a salon impossible as they were only willing/able to take on youngsters as they could pay them less. I couldnt get anyone to take me on at 33 on minimum wage. Try approaching hairdressers or salons that you know, one may say yes.
The only other way I know is to do short courses or try to find an evening course, with a company such as Hayden heath and beauty training www.hhbta.com
If you can afford to go back to college full time that seems to me to be the main way as an older person. (I just couldnt afford it!). Obviously these are just the options that I had where I live (Gloucestershire).
Understand why you'd like to train in it though. You are definitely not too old!!
Hopefully you'll find a path that suits you.
Good Luck!
