Career Change Law

Barbara Said:

What should I expect from a career change to local law enforcement?

We Answered:

First of all, you have the right idea about taking only the advise of someone in the profession. Not the usual bunch of idiots on here who couldn't lift a badge, much less wear one.

It is an honor to serve in this profession. But you must have a genuine love and desire for the job or else you will get disillusioned very quickly. people with a military background usually excel in a law enforcement career. I love it. I even love the haters, because they amuse me and make me laugh. I love the feeling of getting some scumbag parasite off the streets and putting him in prison away from innocent, decent people. I love being able to help people, even when they don't appreciate it or acknowledge it. There is no other profession like it on the face of the earth. There are long hours of boredom, as well as moments of sheer exhilaration.

I hope you the best, if I can help you further, please feel free to e-mail me.

Should I change a career from law to something else?

We Answered:

I think you should first stick to where you are and earn money so that you can pay off your debts. Afterwards once you are firmly rooted and have a hold on life then while you are still at this job you can take a look at your other options since there’s no risk in looking. If you do find a good break and a “happy job” then you can switch jobs without thinking twice which will also not be risky!!!!!!!

Career Change from Law Enforcement?

We Answered:

ok, I know you said that you are tired of peoples problems,
however, there is a rewarding job that you might fit into well..

SOCIAL WORK..

although you would have to deal with people,
you would be able to get enjoyment from the accomplishments that are made,
no matter how small or signifigant,
when you work in the social work field,
you are a role-model, trustworthy, caring, supportive, motivating, and congratulatory..<---is that really a word?...lol

anyhow, i believe that with your "public service skills" you would be a phenominal social worker......

or depending on your "position" with the force, you may be able to be a councellor of some sort...maybe with youth, or even security stuff for senior citizens...lol,

whatever it is you choose to do, good luck in your career....
