Career Change Planning

Georgia Said:

Planning a career change, what is the right etiquette during job interviews?

We Answered:

The truth is, you're in night school working toward a college degree. In five or ten years, you hope to be working at a higher level, but meanwhile, you're supporting yourself and working hard.

If they want to know what subjects you're studying, you can briefly name some of the courses you've taken.

Their question is not necessarily meant to see if you want to become more important or experienced in their particular line of business. It's more to find out if you're ambitious, and willing to work hard and apply yourself to whatever task presents itself. That's a valuable attribute to offer any organization.

Career change?

We Answered:

I hope this will help. This is the Washington state employment office site. They have a link so you can look up the career you have listed and find out information like you asked in your question. Look to the left side of the page to find these links.
Good luck.
I think you should be able to transfer the skills and education you just need to market it effectively. This site has helps for that also.

Bob Said:

I am planning a career in SAP , what modules should I be considering?

We Answered:

If what you are looking for is to be employed by a company that uses SAP and be an end user of SAP, it is not all that necessary that you do a course in SAP. However if you want to take up SAP as a profession you will need to do one of the certification exams. There must be a QA module in SAP. So if your area of knowledge is QA and you like it, that would be the module for you.

At the end of the day, we people on Yahoo answers are not able to decide the module for you or whether you should do SAP at all. The decision is up to you and it depends on where your passion is. Don't do SAP or anything else just because everyone else is doing it or because they pay well. You need to get in to something that you are passionate about in order to make a successful career out of it in the US or anywhere else.
