Career Change Resume Objective

Reginald Said:

What can be a good resume objective for me?

We Answered:

"Hospitality position where I can effectively utilize my expertise in facilities management, logistical over-site, human relations, project management, and staff recruitment and retention."

Hope this helps ...

Mike Said:

is my resume objective good enough?

We Answered:

Objectives are not required on resumes these days.

And if you want to use one, your objective should not state what YOU WANT but make the company WANT YOU. It should indicate what position you are applying for, and in a few words, illustrate why you are the best candidate. Believe it or not, companies really aren't interested in helping you 'better yourself' they just want to hire the best candidate for the job.

As an example (not a great one, but you should get the idea...)

Objective: a managerial position where I can utilize my years of experience in (industry) and team building to its fullest capacity in a fast-paced, corporate environment.

Brandy Said:

Can someone help me with a entry level objective for my resume?

We Answered:

Ha! I just spoke to a recruiter a few days ago and ask her to give me tips on how to prepare a resume. Basically they do not read Objectives. They get hundreds of resumes so they want a format that is simple and that goes right to the point. Replace Objectives with Summary of Qualifications. No color on text, no pictures, one page resume, no personal info that can cause descrimination (age, sex, race, religion, etc...)

Good luck!

Glenn Said:

This is my resume. Any changes needed? I have my contact info b4 career objective but i left it off on purpose

We Answered:

Looks good. Very professional.

Make sure your objective (and the resume overall) is tailored to match the job you want.

Don't lie of course, but slant your word choice to match the company/job your applying to.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!
