Good career change stories?We Answered:
Depends on what your getting into! Its a scary time with this economy and all! Hardly any companies are hiring so dont leave your job until you definitely have another one line up!I got into credit consulting. Its great! I help people get qualified for mortgages and overcome their financial obstacles. This is definitely a booming industry and I would be happy to speak more about it. Email me at gqcredit@gmail.com if you are interested.
Hope this helps!

What would be a good career for me?We Answered:
Well none of those things are really related. You seem to have good administration skills and leadership skills. Maybe you can try your hand at starting a small business.Becky Said:
guy how can some one have a career change from secretarial to any other careers? We Answered:
I'm a good example. I have done other things besides being a secretary, I was a web site builder for a few years. The way to do it is to find a company that promotes from within, get in there, offer to learn, to help. Never turn anything down because it's not in your job description. Work hard, get along with people, and you can get promoted. Don't be afraid to tell your boss something interests you, because they will give you chances if they like and think you'll succeed.
BTW: I know people with Bachelor's degrees who are Administrative Assistants. Most Admin jobs require at least an Associates now, so no, a degree is not the only way out of being a secretary.

Stories Of Inspiration (Career/Money Comebacks In Life)? We Answered:
im only 25, and the events im about to recount have all happened to me between 18 and 24. when i was 18 i got a job at a steel plant, working in production control. it was a pretty sweet job, especially at that age, but i had a little breakdown and was fired for having to take 2 weeks off work....knowing what i know now, i would have sued the crap out of that company, but i feel slightly better knowing their now bankrupt and out of business. i went back to my old job after losing my job at the steel plant, even though i had quit that job more than a year before. i worked there for seven more years, and the company suddenly downsized and i was out of work. i had been managing a small costume shop and had no other skills other than retail and a little bit of office experience to use to find a new job, so i found some partners and opened a similar store to the one i worked at for 8 years. its doing well, and we are hopeful about its future, but we have only been in business for one quarter. its terrifying, and its the hardest thing i've ever done, but i am so thankful for this experience. i have no college degree, and was majoring in elementary education and then switched to social work, but this is such a hands on learning experience that i dont think i would know as much if i had majored in business or something. i dont know if this will help you at all, but its really done me a world of good to tell my story to someone else who might benefit from it. good luck to you, ill keep you in my prayers!Michael Said:
