I am not sure in the UK, but I think the degree qualifies you to be a military officer.Alma Said:
If I was a scientist and my career was centered around a theory that the earth was flat?We Answered:
A true scientist questions everything. Not only other peoples theories but they also question their own theories, experiments and conclusions. If there is a flaw in your assumptions it is best to find it yourself. Even Albert Einstein questioned his own work. He called his own theory about Dark Energy his greatest scientific blunder. Turned out he was wrong about being wrong. Science tends to be more interesting when the results you get are not what you expected.Let the facts stand for themselves. Any conclusions that are drawn should be done so based on the facts, not on desired outcome.

Thinking of a career change to Meteorology? We Answered:
I finished a physics degree before going into meteorology. I quit after 10 years because of shift work, but some of my friends ended in the reseach area, including climate. You must have a strong math, computer and science knowledge probably at the Masters degree level. Go talk to some of the university profs and maybe the weather office nearest you. It's likely that the federal government employment office may have details on career path, but there are also many private sector jobs in air/maritime transportation etc.the pay is similar to many professional jobs, but go into it for the passion, not the money. good luck.
