Change In Career Advice

Career/Education Change? Advice PLEASE?We Answered:
Well, here in the U.S you only have to go to school 4 years to enter into the nursing field. You have so much time and if nursing is what you want to do, go for it! Just think, whatever job you pick, you must do for 50-60 years depending on the money you make. Do you really want to be doing something you hate for 50 years? Look on the internet for good colleges in your area.:)

career change advice? tech to finance? We Answered:
actually you may have a better and more lucrative chance of getting into the the finance industry than you have already thought of. the finance industry is always looking for good people with technical skills. this is especially true with a strong working knowledge of the computer field. with this skill you would have a great chance to to learn how the individual parts of the firm work and how and why. all this while making possibly a pretty good living at it. just remember the financial industry is now under a lot of financial stress. so it may be difficult to get a job at this moment. just a question. did the fellow who started working as a bank teller and wound up making 300 grand a year marry the chairman of the boards daughter? just how do we intend on supporting your daughter sir? good luck bobRebecca Said:
need a career change , advice?We Answered:
Figure out why you hate it - the people? The company? The job itself? What? Before you do anything rash, take a look around you. Are you just bored and need a new project to keep you busy? Do you really need a completely career change?
In the end though, if you aren't happy then no salary can justify staying there.
Now, once you look at why you hate your job so much, start looking around at other options. Don't submit your resume - look at the qualifications. Call up the recruiter and ask them what exactly they look for. The next step is to bump up your resume with like qualifications - if you need a secondary degree, get one. If you need some classes in web design, take them. Get that resume up.
Also, volunteer in a like area with a nonprofit group. This is going to sound strange, but it's going to help you with networking AND references.
Basically, do some soul searching at your present job and then be real about future jobs. When you find a new job, you want it to be something you enjoy and you also want to get a new job fairly quickly when the time is right. Preparing for this time is going to be key.
