Change In Career Path
Michelle Said:
why is it so hard to change career path's?We Answered:
It is not fair, but it is common. It is generally cheaper and more effective for a businesses to recruit into the bottom and promote internally. Also, if you need flexibility for the school run and school holidays, you are a less attractive proposition than someone with no ties. The good news is that some companies understand that experience of the wider world is valuable and so your age will work in your favour.
Have you considered looking for work where your education experience would be relevant? Perhaps working for a business that sells to schools? That way you are bringing something to the table that others do not have. It may not be where you want to end up, but can be a stepping stone going in the right direction.

Career Path Change?We Answered:
I don't want to burst your bubble.....my bf is a computer programmer and he has had a very rough time and is very good at his job. He worked for a company during college for 2 yrs which ended up flopping. Then worked from home running his own company for 2 more yrs he now has a job in MA. Which is going good... but he doesn't know if this one will flop too. He never stopped his side work though to rely on. He seems to really like it however. I guess it all depends on you. There is no guarantee with any jobs anymore except medical related or accountants. Maybe you should just look around out of Boston. Have you tried Cape Cod area? Or even NH? maybe you could see if you can go and just get certified for HVAC or plumbing or something probably cheaper schooling and worth it.Wish ya luck
