OK, not that it's my strong point but hopefully, this is a start for others to improve.....

Following three years of experience as a sales representative, I concentrated on marketing. I regard marketing practices not only as a simple sales activity but as a complex operation involving advertising campaigns, surveys and constructing the marketing mix. I see it as more challenging and interesting and I am eager to learn.

My wife and I returned to Taiwan last month to look for work, once we had completed our master degree dissertations in England. My dissertation entitled “Consumer’s attitude toward greener cars – a study of green marketing application” was chosen as I believe green issues should be considered in every business activity. I have read many articles about this issue and encountered some of the difficulties in producing effective green marketing. The solution I have identified is one of communicating with customers through the media or co-operating with government and NGOs to educate customers or ally with business partners/rivals to increase a customer’s green consciousness.

My dissertation is being examined now and I expect to get the certification of masters degree in January 2009.

My short plan is to learn marketing practices within a foreign company over the next three years. Then, I hope to find a position to enable me to find the correct work/family balance.

The long term goal is to be a capable person who can shoulder more responsibilities in the company which I serve in. At the same time, I will try to meet the expectations of my family.

I believe working for a firm which shares the same values as myself, not only increases the throughput of work but also reduces the frictions within the company. As a result, a global company like Johnson is an ideal one within which one can enjoy the work and make career progress. With this in mind, I am willing to face any challenge at work, contribute to building a successful team and a successful organisation.
