You want a mix of a field/major that can get you a potential good job at this economy and at the same time be interesting for you to peruse.Otherwise you have these choices:
1) Choose a difficult, but very high paying field, unlikely you'll be really interested.
2) Choose a favorite, hobby-like field that you purely enjoy but not sure about employments/don't care.
3) What I mentioned first line.
I'm 19, junior, choose #1, college is hell right now. But I know that 90k/year will really help me after I graduate! (Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering major =P )
