I'm strongly considering getting back with my wife...advice please!!!!?We Answered:
What I just read is a sad story. You seem like a compassionate, loving, giving, person, and your wife is not. I strongly believe if she loved you she would seek counseling, and want to be good to you, and for you. If you trust her enough that she will not turn your life upside down again, and you want to get back with her, you are going to have to forgive her for what she did in the past. You have not forgiven her yet. What she did still weighs on your mind. I know this because you said "she hurt me really bad". "To forgive is to set a prisoner free, and then find the prisoner was you". Think about it. Good luckJoanne Said:
How can a single, unemployed, 50 year old get motivated? We Answered:
Nothing of the above mentioned reasons need to make you unmotivated. You are single, then you are carefree. You are unemployed now, but you have your field of expertise and you will get a job.50 years of age, this means you have more experience than younger people.,so cheer yourself up.If I were you, I'd consider retraining while I work in my field.I changed careers in a dramatic way before, and I am not sure yet, if it is going to work or not ..lol. and you don't want unemployemnt gaps on your CV.Keep looking and God will provide.

What now?! Blow-up with disrespectful family member after a "low-blow".?We Answered:
Oh, In-laws...gotta love them......or not.
There is conflict in my family, my wife on one side and my mom and sister on the other. I'm the line that divides them, apparently.
I explained to my sister, that we would NOT be attending any function that includes her and her family - STAINS on society, I'll tell ya! I told my mom, that I promise to come to her funeral; but outside of that, I won't be interacting with her drug-infested hysteria.
I'll be divorcing my wife in January.
After that, I'm taking a sailboat to some deserted island to live like Tom Hanks and Wilson.

How to get a job in the current climate? We Answered:
Yes, and the sad thing is that you will soon be joined by half a million others, as the government starts to dismantle public services. Private business won't expand and take on more staff, as there will be very few people with enough disposable income to buy their goods. In any case we have very little manufacturing industry left now.The government is always banging about how people cannot expect a secure job for life, yet they do not make the facilities available for people to retrain.
When I was young, employers provided the apprenticeships and the training, ni the hope that, once trained, people would stay at that firm, which many did.
Nowadays, employers just want skilled, or semi skilled people that thy can employ at the minimum wage to join them.

Am I a failure for choosing a new carrer path?We Answered:
if you go the pure philosophy route, you're just going to be a flake.wake up and smell the coffee. did you REALLY think being a carpenter was just a metaphor? He actually WAS a carpenter. That's how he supported himself during his lost years.
If you can't do little things, then it's a GIVEN that you can't do big things.

Careers in the late 40's and early 50's?We Answered:
Working women became housewives and men took the jobs they had. Then the women became depressed and realized how dissatisfied they were with their housewife roles. Prescription drugs (like Valium and Xanax) became really popular. This eventually led to the Women's Rights movement. This was a very abbreviated summary, by the way.
