You could be a journalist, many gifted writers love journalism (partly because it earns a decent salary, which is hard to do when pursuing a career in writing).

Choosing career path, Doctor(surgeon) or businessman?

We Answered:

You should not go into medicine if your main goal is to make money. By the time you complete training - especially for any surgical subspecialty - you'll owe thousands of dollars and be close to 30 years old.

To get rich as a businessman, you'd need to be an "idea person", i.e. think of something no one else has thought of and make it happen. Also not easy to do.

Your best bet is to find something you love doing, because otherwise work will be a drag no matter how much money you make.

WARNING: Jobs in the field of Law are drying up FAST!!! This is not a good field to invest in right now!!! Reasons: very bad economy, people now (mistakenly) think they can do their own legal work thanks to the WWWeb, there are way TOO MANY law schools in this country churning out way TOO MANY graduates (and this includes legal support staff). IF you do graduate, you will have a VERY hard time finding a job. IF you do find a job, you will find the environment to be very poliitcal and competitive, administrators at law firms typically do not have the employees' best interests in mind. Also, this field of vocation is VERY time consuming.

Suggestion: Go into the field of Healthcare <<< LOTS of jobs there! Especially with a business background.

Good luck.

Hello. I say pharmacy/pharmaceuticals are your best bet. I find it admirable that you love chemistry (I know that EVERYONE at my school hates it lol). It's a very hard subject and a skill that pharmacists need to master, and I believe you have the means to do this.

I usually say that you should follow your passions blah blah blah, don't base it on salary alone. But you have really done your research. And the truth is pharmacists make the most money out of all these choices by a landslide. (although I am not familiar with the chemist profession, i just have a feeling...)

The reason I said pharmaceuticals is because they have pretty great hours. Since you mentioned how you love summer and want some time off, this came to mind. Basically (very generally) what this is is selling pharmaceuticals to companies. My neighbor is in pharmaceutical sales. My mom told me she makes a ton of money (probably above 75k) and I always see her around...meaning she has good hours. And my mom even set she can set her own hours...

I would look into anything that has to do with pharmacy

Best of luck!!
