New Career Change

Jason Said:

what the best study you can do to change your career in age of 39 to get new job and good wages?

We Answered:

A short-term specialist program should help you get back in the loop more quickly. Look through the job openings in your region to find out which sectors are hiring and whether you can gain the skills needed to move into it.

Recently, my cousin was hired by an oil marketing company after 15 years of being a stock broker. He used to trade in both stocks & oil futures.

The key is to look for a related or complementary industry where you have the basic skills and don't have to start from scratch.

iv been thinking of a new career change?

You can enroll in a community college for the Spring semester. I'm in CC and I love it; it's fun, close, convienant, cheap and easy. I'm there for two years to earn my Associates in Early Childhood Education. Then I'd like to work with preschool aged children
Good luck! More power to you for going back to school!

brand new career change?

We Answered:

Well, what careers are you looking to change to? Start there. Look at the job descriptions for the positions you are interested in and look to see where you have skills that can transfer to them...then redo your resume to reflect the skills you have that they want.

New Career change?

its natural for some people (including me!) to feel that way whenever changing jobs...what it really means is that you are very concienscious (spelling?) and want to do a good job. Good for you! not everyone is like that... it may help to observe someone in your new area that you think is doing a good job, and try to emmulate them. Just try to be as prepared as you can, and then be confident. I once had a boss tell me to stop being so nervous, and i didnt even realize that i was :( but experience has taught me to be prepared, observe & be confident. Good luck!
