I am a real estate agent looking for a new career. Any ideas of corporate jobs involving real estate? We Answered:
Property Asset Management companies are IT right now. REO companies that work for banks, foreclosed properties...that's where it's at and it's gonna continue to be an excellent business for years to come. It's not so much field work, rather sending orders to other agents, managing property progress/lists/sales, etc.
Large corps such as First American, IndyMac Bank, First National, the list goes on. I think you'd be satisfied, at least look into it, make some calls & see if it's something you'd be interested in.

Looking for a new career - tired of working in production control... any ideas? We Answered:
What about something in the quality area? Or possibly logistics. I always see ads for placement in these areas. I would think that with your background and the ability to see the bigger picture that this would come in handy.Since you are fluent in German, I would also think about searching to see what new technologies are being explored for possible startup in your home country. I worked for a company that had purchased equipment from Germany to build "Green" buildings and homes. They used someone to translate and manage this project.

Where's a good place to get new career ideas and how to transition into them?We Answered:
You can take a Kuder test, which will show you what types of work you seem to be suited for. Some schools will give them or you can buy one on-line for $l0.00.There is a good book called What Color is Your Parachute? that will give you ideas about careers and work.

What is a career that involves coming up with new ideas to make the company better? We Answered:
No matter what job you hold, it is your duty to do what is in the best interest of the company, including sharing ideas about increasing sales, gaining customers, simplifying processes, increasing efficiency, etc. The job that comes to my mind is a consultant, but those positions are reserved for people with experience in a particular field. Other fields that come to mind are marketing, management, systems. You're question is pretty vague, what type of company are you referring to?Carmen Said:
Husband needs to start a new career any ideas? We Answered:
He should have a go at sales, an area he's familiar with would be best. Stay away from network marketing though, as you can see by James above me there, it's an underhanded type of busness where you're not incouraged to be upfront with people.Marion Said:
