Teacher Changing Careers
Tara Said:
Anyone know a good headhunter for a teacher looking to change careers in Atlanta? We Answered:
What are you talking about? I don't understand your question.Sergio Said:
Should I try to change careers and become a teacher? We Answered:
Why not?? Depending on where you live... many states have a "Professional to Classroom" program. You get training to go into the classroom. If you are looking at the college level, you will need to get your masters and try to be a teaching assistant for a while. Then, get your PHD if you want to be anything other than an "Instructor."
The thing you really need to do is look deep inside and figure out if teaching what you really want to do or is what you "think" you want to do. Think back to when you were in school and what you and your classmates were like. Is that really what you want? I'm not saying don't do it, I'm saying think long and hard about it. There are teachers out there, and not enough of them. And there are even fewer "Good Teachers."
Whatever you decide, you have already proven that you can do what you set your sights on.
Good luck.
