Ashley Said:

Career Rut... How can I change jobs.. feeling stuck and hopeless.?

We Answered:

Start exploring your options. There's a school of thought that even if you like your job, you should occasionally interview elsewhere, just to remind yourself that you have alternatives & that you have market value. Keep your resume up to date, attend networking events. Figure out how you can leverage your academic credentials plus what you have learned in this job. (Remember, when you interview, no matter how you feel now you must be able to describe your current job in a very positive way, including all the great stuff you have learned.) Right now you sound frustrated and burnt out -- your biggest challenge is turning that around so that you are attractive to other employers. One good way to do that is to learn something new & valuable -- make yourself an expert on something. Good luck!

What are the top 10 fastest careers to change into?

We Answered:

Hey C: If you're near a big city, the airlines always need baggage handlers, and FedEx and UPS always need late-night parcel handlers. If you've ever waited for your luggage at the airport, you can tell that baggage handlers help plenty of people every day.

What are the top 10 jobs in Alberta, Canada?

We Answered:

I've been living here for 3 years now and I can't wait to get out.

Those that come here for the jobs normally only stay about 6 months before they leave too. The jobs are all in the oil field and they are long hours, demanding conditions and no down time. A lot of people can't even find a place to live. My house here has gone from 180k to 325 k since I bought it. Sounds good until you realize that in order to make anything off of it I need to sell it and find a cheap place to live.

If you work in the oil field many of the employers there will say you get accommodations but that could be anything from 15 guys sharing a house in shifts to an unheated surplus trailor on the job site.

Food costs more out here, utilities are higher then in Ontario and while everyone says it's better out here because there is no provincial sales tax is smoking dope. Without provincial sales tax you pay for everything! Anything in Ontario that normally gets paid for by provincial money gets paid for directly by the user out here.

It's up to you but my advise is stay in Ontario. I can't wait to get back there myself.

If I change jobs in Sims 3, do I keep the job's perks?

We Answered:

Nooo, that should be obvious, of course you don't get to keep the perks, if you've left the job :)
