Do you think I am to old to re train for a new career at 46 years old. I am currently a Teaching Assistant? We Answered:
You are never too old to change anything you would like to change in your life! I am 45 and started a new home business last year and it is going great! I love learning and get to help people along the way to learn what I have!I have an article that may help if you are interested in looking for a business that suits you. It is nonspecific to my business and is for anyone who is looking for something new. It will help you learn what to look for, what to avoid and questions to ask in determing the right business for you.
If you would like a copy, email me at bonnieram1962@yahoo.com and I will be glad to email it to you. Just let me know that you would like the article on finding the right business.
I wish you all the best and look forward to helping you in your search.

I want to train for a new career (not to sure exactly what yet)?We Answered:

Im looking at training for a new career & not really sure what career to pursue???We Answered:
Hello fellow Mommy!I am a a Stay at Home Mom of 3 young boys. I decided to add to our family finances by starting a small home business. The tax benefits are awesome.
There are a lot of good opportunities out there. One of the easy things to get started is child care- you already have children's toys, and movies at home. Sell things on eBay- kids clothing and toys. Become a Rep/Consultant for a well known company like Avon, Mary Kay, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Premiere Jewelery...
You could look at your skills, hobbies and interests to see if there is a profitable business related to them you could start.
I finally decided to own an on line travel agency through a really great company. It is publicly traded and a member of the BBB. I love the training support, and mentoring. I make the best commissions in the industry, enjoy huge tax benefits, and get nice travel credentials. I love it! It has changed our lives and my husband shouldn't have to work any more after the holidays.
Best of luck in all you do, and I hope you find what you are looking for soon.

Why are employers not willing to train new staff? We Answered:
The simple reason is cost (financial/time). Unfortunately a lot of people only use companies as stepping stones to something else. To train someone to do a job can take a significant amount of resources. I've seen it many times where someone works for a company long enough to get some experience and then leaves for something "better". Not only has a the company lost a member of staff that has hopefully become a useful member of the team but the company is back in the same position it was in months previously. It doesn't give employers any incentive to train staff.Have you thought of working for yourself?
